Could it be? Spaetzles and potato pancakes! Dining via German fastfood – Hallo Berlin! $4.50 mugs of German beer! I had the German fries, green bean and cucumber salad, sour kraut, and cabbage with Kielbasa and Andoille Cheese sausage. DELICIOUS!

Fruit salad with mango, papaya, pineapple, strawberries, and bananas. A parsley, carrot, celery, beets, apple, and pineapple drink.

For lunch today, I felt like salmon nigiri sushi. I went to the non-Japanese lunch box places and decided against raw fish. Then, I decided that it was a good idea to have some brown rice rolls. The box came with 4 pieces of 3 different kinds of rolls. One was eel avocado with teriyaki sauce, second was imitation crab with avocado, and the third was shrimp and avocade in spicy sauce.

It was surprisingly palpable, but it didn’t leave any sort of satiation. Yes, I feel a little bloated and I am definitely full. However, it isn’t an enjoyable feeling.

FAIL.

I’m watching a Peanuts episode where Charlie Brown becomes neurotic about giving the “little red hair girl” a valentine.

Happy Valentine’s Day Website!

This was the first time in a long while where I can just sit down and do some redesigning on this thing. Usually I spend so much time in front of a computer, that that is the last thing I want to do. During the weekend, the last thing I am going to do is sit in front of my laptop, when there are movies to be seen and shopping to be done! Really…

However, today I spent the day coding on my small 12″ monitor… I couldn’t stand the last design. I have to say, after spending so much time with two screens, one being 24″, my 12″ little laptop isn’t cutting it. I spent some while hooking up this tiny thing to my 32″ Vizio LCD TV and that helped, a little. I need a bigger resolution (aka more desktop space), but my TV is too far away to really read small text.

Although on a regular day I don’t feel like parsing through code, after spending so much time optimizing other people’s sites, it was getting embarrassing and annoying. That’s one thing I was afraid of. If I found work as a web designer, it would take the fun out of coding. On one hand, I don’t like spending time on the computer anymore.

That’s enough apologetic excuses for neglecting this site.

Yesterday I drank way too much and encountered some asses at this swanky little place on 14th called “Mr. Jones.” It was a Yakitori place, supposedly, but it was more like a swanky little lounge that offered yakitori. Either way, they made a STRONG Old Fashioned and Sidecar.

So, I was there with McCharen and this guy touches my shoulder. Not on accident, mind you. He was feeling my sweater, I guess. And he was DRUNK. His friend just kept laughing in a manic manner and the guy kept drawing large circles around his head. He could talk, mind you… and then they were hitting on these girls. Then I think they were taking candid shots of us, or something.

Weird moments.

That’s when we knew it was time to head home.

I went to Balthazar’s today and was completely disappointed at what they brought out. The only thing that was good was the Balthazar Salad, as far as I am concerned. I had the Grilled Sardine appetizer and their Moules Frites and both were disappointing. As far as French Bistros go, Pigalles on 48th street does a better a job (and they are cheaper)!

They are pretty pricey and hyped up without much to show for it.

And the service was pretty poor.

but I feel pretty good. A friend of a friend works at Equinox and scored me a week and a half pass. I am hoping that when that is done, he can score me some sort of deal.

I was going to blog about this during the week, but I couldn’t find a free minute, believe it or not.

Now, I’ve been at Bally’s and Gold’s Gym, however Equinox is beautiful, especially the one at Wall st. The building was converted from an old bank with beautiful architecture and large windows. Mmm. AND it’s not crowded.

I’ve started going there at 8am-8:50am before work. Today I went all the way down there to enjoy a longer session and the steam room. Mmm. I could get hooked. Unfortunately, I doubt I can afford this at full price with a good conscience. However, going to the gym is making me feel a lot more productive. I don’t feel sleepy at work in the morning… I’m all warmed up. When I came home today, I made myself a salad and cut up an avocado, then I did my taxes.

I am such an anal dork. I was working up my return with TaxACT and TurboTax… trying to find out which method was more cost effective. In the end, I went with TurboTax, although they charge more for State returns, because TaxACT wasn’t 7.95 as advertised. And TurboTax got me more money… so the extra cost was balanced to around the same in the end.

Phew. At least I don’t owe any money this year. Now… I have to do my mother’s taxes…
